Manovaani LLC ("Manovaani," "we," "us," or "our") is a coaching and Carnatic music practice based in Mercer Island, Washington. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect personal information that you provide through manovaani.com (the "Website") or in connection with our coaching or music-related services (collectively, the "Services"). Manovaani provides professional coaching and music-related services and does not operate as a healthcare provider. If individuals voluntarily provide health-related information in communications, such information will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the applicable coaching agreement, but Manovaani does not request or require such information to provide services.

Coaching services provided by Manovaani are professional development services intended to support personal and professional growth, leadership development, and self-reflection. Coaching services are not healthcare, therapy, psychological counseling, medical treatment, or crisis intervention, and do not involve diagnosis, treatment, or the provision of licensed healthcare services. Participation in coaching does not create a healthcare provider–patient or therapist–client relationship.


How We Use Your Information

We use personal information for legitimate business purposes related to operating our coaching and music practice. The Website is hosted using Firebase Hosting (Google LLC), which may log standard server access data as part of routine system operations. We select service providers that we believe maintain commercially reasonable safeguards; however, we do not control their independent privacy practices, and their handling of information is governed by their own privacy policies and applicable law.


Coaching Confidentiality and Professional Standards

Coaching services provided by Manovaani are conducted in accordance with generally recognized professional coaching standards and ethical guidelines, including those associated with the International Coaching Federation (ICF). Information shared during coaching sessions, whether by email, video conference, or other communication methods, is treated as confidential and will not be disclosed to third parties without your consent except as permitted or required by law, including circumstances involving legal obligations, court orders, or a reasonable belief of imminent risk of harm to you or others. Confidentiality obligations and limitations are governed primarily by the applicable coaching agreement entered into between you and Manovaani LLC.

In the ordinary course of providing professional services, we may create and maintain notes, records, or summaries relating to coaching sessions or communications. Such records are used solely for professional, administrative, and recordkeeping purposes and may be stored in secure electronic systems. From time to time, limited review of records may occur as part of professional supervision, credential maintenance, training, or audit processes conducted by recognized professional organizations, including the International Coaching Federation or similar credentialing bodies. Any such review is limited to what is reasonably necessary to satisfy professional requirements and is conducted in a manner reasonably intended to protect confidentiality to the extent permitted by applicable law and professional standards.


Technology, Communications, and Recordings

Coaching sessions and communications may be conducted using electronic communication platforms, including video conferencing, email, messaging applications, or other technology services. Such platforms may process or store communications as part of their normal operations. By participating in coaching sessions or communications, you acknowledge that electronic communications involve inherent privacy and security risks beyond our direct control.

If recordings are created with consent, they will be used solely for professional, administrative, training, or credentialing purposes and retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to support service delivery, professional standards, or legal obligations. Recording of coaching sessions will occur only with the participant's prior consent and in accordance with applicable law and the applicable coaching agreement.


Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of personal information.


Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including providing services, maintaining business records, complying with legal or professional obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing agreements. Retention periods may vary depending on the nature of the information and applicable legal or professional requirements.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted marketing purposes.

Manovaani LLC is a limited liability company registered in the State of Washington, operating from Mercer Island, Washington State. Washington does not currently have a specific coaching licensure requirement. This practice operates in accordance with the ICF Code of Ethics and applicable federal privacy norms. The Website and Services are intended for individuals eighteen years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of eighteen.
